Addressing Frequently Asked Questions

Upon embarking on this journey towards self-realization, some of you have asked me these questions. I have decided to compile these frequently asked questions about what I do, and I hope this will be able to give you a better understanding.

Being in this space of spirituality and self-realization for three years now, I believe many of you would have questions to understand what I am doing better. That said, here are my answers to some of the frequently asked questions.

Q1. What makes you so certain that you’re what you say you are? There are many others who are more experienced and well-known. What makes you different than them?

Throughout this journey of my self-realization (coming to the third year), I have come to grasp that the journey towards fulfilling life purpose is all about a lifetime of learning and evolvement. And since embarking on this journey, I have observed that my life has improved for the better – I started to obtain more peace, joy, love, and compassion. My family and close friends are able to testify this as they have taken notice of the change in my attitude and behaviour. And if you’d like to know what they have said, please read their testimonies here.

Why am I so convicted? This is simply because I have transformed myself to become who I am, not by understanding intellectually, but by realizing my true nature through meditation and mindfulness.

These realizations are something that is very special to me, where the feeling of peace, calm, joy, love and compassion arose within that innately I know, that our True Nature is Nothing but Love. It is always peace, calm, love, and light.

Prior to meditation and mindfulness exercises, I was unable to realize it as I always act and react through my ego and thoughts.

Understandably, there are many more in this sphere who are much more experienced and well known. That said, they are the people that I draw knowledge and wisdom from. Of them, I learn the most from Dalai Lama, Sadhguru, Eckhart Tolle, Neale Donald, and Lee Carrol.

At the same time, I am not here to be someone different but my purpose is to contribute my realization and plant the seed of wisdom and light to many people as possible, so that the world will be filled with love, joy and peace.

I was inspired by one of the Dalai Lama’s saying, with referenced to environmental scientist David Orr’s book Ecological Literacy: Educating our Children for a Sustainable World.

“The plain fact is that the planet does not need more successful people. But it does desperately need more peacemakers, healers, restorers, storytellers, and lovers of every kind. It needs people of moral courage willing to join the fight to make the world habitable and humane. And these qualities have little to do with success as the society has defined it.

Q2. You claimed that you self-realize people through qigong, yoga, meditation, and philosophical teaching. Is this your own self-created concept or on what basis do you really think self-realization can be achieved through these four means?

I came to my self-realization through the power of daily meditation and self-contemplation, this is addition to being guided to learn specific meditation techniques by my first guru Master Umesh H. Nandwani.

Upon realizing our True Nature, I decided to further enhance my realization by fusing yoga and qigong practices.

Through my daily practices and devotion, I have transformed myself to become WHO I AM, not by understanding intellectually, but by realizing our True Nature. These realizations are very special to me, where the feeling of peace, calm , joy, love and compassion arose within
that innately I know, that our True Nature is Nothing but Love. Our True Nature is always peace, calm, love and light. Prior to meditation and mindfulness exercises, I will not be able to realize it as I always act and react through my ego, mind and thoughts.

Upon realizing our True Nature, I further enhance these realizations in my yoga and qigong practices. I subsequently learn the yoga philosophies, skillset, and techniques into performing asanas and meditation from my second guru, Shilpa Ghatalia whom I will be certified as RYT500 to further enhance my knowledge, wisdom, and realizations in this space. I must say with the practices and realizations, it has brought forth tremendous inner wellbeing and overall wellness in nurturing my body, mind, and soul.

Hence, I wish to impart this wisdom, knowledge, skillsets, and realizations to many people who can resonate with me to catalyse them into wellness, realizations, and nurturance of body, mind, and soul.

Q3. It is easy for you to share about self-realization because you have achieved everything in life – career, wealth, success, and family. The reality is a lot of us are still juggling among all these aspects in our lives, it is impossible for us to be like you or follow your teachings.

Each of us want to attain success, but true success is about finding balance in both inner and outer wellbeing of our lives. And prior to my discovery of this journey, I’d dare say I was just like everyone else – chasing after the wind of success, career, self-exaltation, wealth and
investments.

Sadly, this is the misconception of one’s mind and focus. We all know that to attain success and happiness, we need to find BALANCE in our inner and outer wellbeing of our life. Prior to me discovering in this journey, I am just like anyone who have the mindset to only focus my mind on my career, business, investments, and family. These focusses are driving our mind into thinking and believing what the Society and the environment have conditioned us to think, to work hard, to do whatever it takes to be successful in money, relationships, and material needs. My focus is always outward and these have birthed an Imbalance where I neglected my inner wellbeing. As a result, there are stress, impatience, arguments, disharmony, and lack of love and understanding. These inner negative attributes have birthed pain and also causing my family and loves one to be in disharmony too.

Ever since I embarked on this journey of self-discovery, I noticed a marked improvement in my inner wellbeing. I am less stressful. I become more patience, calmer and peace, more focus and many other positivity more.

I was not able to study and understand the “Self” better where there was no prior education in this space. The teachings and understanding of “Self” is not taught by my parents, society, and also not in any education institution that I grew up with. How can this important knowledge and wisdom not taught by our teachers or parents since young? Perhaps they don’t know it either.

Hence, regardless of what circumstances of life you are experiencing, or assuming whatever roles and responsibilities, it is vital that we put sometime into studying, understanding, and realizing your “Self”.

By cultivating inner peace and realizations through mindfulness and meditation, I am sure you are going to lead a life of Happiness, Bliss and Love. You will be amazed that your performance in Career will be improved markedly, and your relationships with family, colleagues and friends are positive.

Self-realization has transformed my life, and hence I have this full conviction that I want to share it with others too. Notwithstanding, I am still managing my family and businesses, I
am not resigning myself from my loved ones to do this. I am here to share with others, there is a way to cultivate inner and outer balance leading to one’s success and lasting happiness.

Q4. Is your belief and practice a cult?

I do not think that my belief and practice is a cult. If it brings forth tremendous inner peace, calm, love, and compassion, why would it be a cult? I am simply believing that our True Nature is of high moral virtues, and our True Nature is peaceful, calm, Nothing but Love and Light. If I can help guide others towards realizing and awaken to their own inner light, I am delivering my highest service to humanity and become the best version of myself that leads me to a lifetime of fulfilment and contentment.

Q5. I am not lost, so why should I self-realize?

I do not agree fully to the notion that people who seek for self-realization are lost. For myself, I am a successful businessman, married to my wife with two beautiful children. I am also positive at all time and know my goals in life. However, when the Universe opened my eyes into self-discovery, my perception towards life changes. It changes for the better. It has opened my eyes into a different life path where I know intuitively it will lead me to a lifetime of happiness and contentment. My feelings cannot lie. Just like how I became successful in business and investment, I followed my intuitive feelings, it has guided my success thus far. Besides following my intuitive feelings, it was my open-mindedness that lead me to be successful in my career, investments, businesses.

I am often being asked: “Are you okay, Michael?” as I started the journey of meditation and self-discovery. I wish to really debunk the notion that only those who are lost shall seek.

While life is unique to each and every one of us. Yes, there are those who are “lost” or are in “pain”, leading them to a journey of self-discovery. I must say that these are the best “Wake Up” call to those who are lost to awaken to their true nature. The awakening to their true nature is often the best transformation to those who are lost as they would realize how beautiful and profundity life has bestowed us in this journey.

And of course, there are those who would say, I am not LOST, Why should I self -realize? Well, we will not enforce the realizations unto others as each destiny differs from one another, and respect man’s free will. My personal mission is to impart applicative wisdom for the enlightenment of one’s true self, and hope to be able to awaken people to their own inner light where they can live a life of bliss, harmony and love.

Q6. I think the process of self-realization requires a lot of digging inside myself. I don’t
have the time for this, and I am happy being where I am now.

You don’t need a lot of time in a day, just a good 15-minutes each day meditating or on self-contemplation would have a positive impact on your life. I do not think it requires a lot of time to be able to do this. The goal here is to cultivate awareness through meditation and mindfulness exercises, where it can bring tremendous benefits to one’s life.
