A Treat for Mothers: Practising Self-care with Meditation
Mother’s Day is celebrated worldwide to express respect, honour, and love for mothers. Mothers are known as selfless nurturers who help make us who we are. While mothers often appreciate their loved ones throwing something special to wow them on this day, sometimes what mothers need is a break – some me-time. Recently, our meditation coach Michael Teh conducted a meditation session on self-care to help a group of mothers residing in Melbourne recalibrate themselves for better balance in their lives.

“Mothers today are not only caregivers, but they may also be breadwinners for their families. A mother must take good care of her own emotional and mental well-being for her role.”

Recently, our meditation coach Michael Teh conducted a meditation session on self-care to help a group of mothers residing in Melbourne recalibrate themselves for better balance in their lives.
The session was an exclusive invitation extended to Michael Teh as part of a collaboration with Talents Tech Melbourne* to organize a Mother’s Day workshop.
The workshop started with the use of Points of You®️ photo-healing tool to allow fellow mothers to observe, talk, and think deeply about multiple perspectives through photos.
Thereafter, Michael provided a guided meditation for the mothers to experience inner peace and a moment of relaxation and calm before going back to their family and children, drawing a perfect ending to the workshop.

In a nutshell, mothers play a critical role in the family and the healthy development of their children. Mothers today are not only caregivers, but they may also be breadwinners for their families. A mother must take good care of her own emotional and mental well-being for her role.
“We are born of love. Love is our mother.” – Rumi
