In a few days, we will be celebrating Chinese New Year (February 1, 2022) which is also known as the Lunar New Year or the Spring Festival. The festival is celebrated at the second new moon after the Winter Solstice, and it is celebrated to mark the end of winter and the beginning of spring.
This year, 2022, is the year of the Tiger, 虎 – Hǔ, which is the third year of the twelve-year cycle of the Chinese Zodiac animals. What does the Year of the Tiger have in store for us and what should we look out for?
Well, looking at how the Year of the Rat was about survival (2020) and last year, the Year of the Ox was learning how we anchor ourselves in a new reality – how conveniently so, looking at global events. But for the Year of the Tiger, it is all about making big changes.
What do I mean about big changes? Well, looking at how the tiger spirit animal is an important spiritual figure in some cultures around the world, it is believed that the tiger spirit is often associated with Yang energy (masculinity and proactiveness) while also as an inspiration to become the master of our domain – whether in the field of knowledge, skills, or even mastery over ourselves in order we become that person who we meant to be. Thus, in this Year of the Tiger, do things your own way as Tigers hate being told what to do!
At the same time, as we are just about to embrace the new year, to become master of your own destiny, I would like to encourage you to light up your spirit and connect to your higher consciousness through adopting meditation into your daily life.
The year of the Water Tiger is a good year to start practicing self-discovery, self-contemplation, and self-realization as it enables you to realize your truest potentials. And to achieve so is by meditation as it cultivates light of awareness into your own inner self. It is also the doorway to discover your potentials, inner gifts, and treasures that will lead you to a life of peace, joy, and abundance. Hence, to live the Life of Higher Potentials, you must embark on this journey in the NOW and realize who you truly are!
That said, let us start the Year of the Water Tiger well by adopting daily meditation into your lifestyle as it will lead you to live a life of peace, joy, and abundance as well as opening yourself to realize who you truly are and to be the masters of your respective domains. And if you are interested to do so, allow me to walk beside you on this journey of self-realization and the discovery of your true potentials. Let it begin NOW.
Let’s usher the year with a roar and embody the courage and strength, confidence, independence and immortality of the spirit of a tiger.
I wish your heart be filled with happiness, love, joy and contentment. Have a fruitful and wonderful year ahead.
祝你万事如意迎新年,如虎添翼旺全年!
